InSpiritry & the Greater Good

Celebration

What is Celebration?

The word, Celebration, is defined as "an observance of special significance," "praise and rejoicing" and "a gathering of friends and family." In the context of InSpiritry, Celebration suggests a lifestyle of joy, gratitude and optimism. When we live with Passion for the Greater Good, we look past personal dilemmas and temporary obstacles to recognize our the blessings. We see our cup as half full instead of half empty. We emphasize the positive instead of belabor the negative. We thank God for all that is good in the world. We embrace Self, Nature, God and Humanity with open-hearted love. We believe all things are possible and offer an enthusiastic invitation for others to join us in our hope for the Greater Good!

How can we each practice Celebration?

Living in Celebration as part of a life of InSpiritry simply means opening our hearts to see, feel, hear, speak and share what is Good as our contribution to the Greater Good. It is not hard to find mentors; children are our best examples! Here are some reminders of how we can practice Celebration:

Be Joyful!

Enjoy life: let your spirit soar as you rejoice in who you are.

Express your joy: laugh, sing, dance, paint, garden.

Make praise a faith experience: pray and meditate with joy.

Be Grateful!

Thank others for gifts of time, resources and care.

Be grateful; abundance will be your reward.

Make gratitude a faith experience: thank God for goodness.

Be Optimistic!

Resist fear and worry; expect to be pleasantly surprised.

See the future through the eyes of a child.

Make optimism a faith experience: believe in goodness.

Be a Blessing!

You are blessed in order to bless others: share your joy.

Give of yourself; the world will be a better place.

Make blessings a faith experience: pass them on.

Invite Others to Celebrate!

Help your friends and family to find a life of joy.

Teach the children you know to be thankful and hopeful.

Make invitation a faith experience: share your joy.

Love with Your Heart Wide Open!

Set aside time and energy for relationships.

Give and receive unconditional love.

Make love a faith experience: see what is holy in everyone.

Believe!

Expect the unexpected.

Embrace your spiritual self.

Make belief a faith experience: have faith.

Be an Unending Source of Hope!

Nurture your joyful self.

Share your vision of a better world; celebrate what is yet to come.

Make hope a faith experience: live in the light.
