InSpiritry has its mission sharing Ideas for InSpired Living and Working. Those ideas include Community, Compassion, Creativity, Collaboration, Consilience, Courage and Celebration.
For poets, writers and speakers who are passionate about Greater Good Thinking, written and spoken words are our best way to InSpire others. That can mean writing poems that illuminate everyday experiences or fiction that lets us see ourselves in the characters. We can write essays that affirm Greater Good Thinking or blogs that engage readers who offer their comments. We can share our memories or offer a view of the future. With all these opportunities to write, even the most inspired among us may find our creative muse needs jostling.
Here are some prompts you may find helpful in creating poems, stories, essays, speeches and blogs that use a Wider Lens, an Open Mind and a Gentle Heart. I hope they inspire you, give you new ideas for your writing or lead you back to projects you have put aside.
Many of these suggestions are based on my blog entries, my radio Minutes of InSpiritry and my daily FaceBook Questions for the Day.
When your writing needs prompting, spend some time considering these questions:
What do you remember about summers as a child?
Where in the world are you going?
Who excites you with their ideas?
Who shows you the kind of person you want to be?
What still scares you?
Where do you feel right at home?
Describe your perfect work space.
Who would you like to meet?
What space in your home is a sanctuary?
What is your heart's unfulfilled mission?
What does love look like?
Who wishes you would call?
Watch for new prompts - and enjoy writing!
